Hello Everyone
Today I am sharing a card I made playing around with the beautiful Diamond Love Stamp Set by Imagine Design Create and Distress Oxide Inks to create a pretty background. With this technique you will never create the same card twice! You can view the original blog post here!

I have also used:
6” x 6” Card Blank
Black Card Stock
White Watercolour Paper
Black Ink
Distress Oxide Ink: Seedless Preserves, Salty Ocean and Twisted Citron
Water Spray
Double Sided Tape, PVA glue, Sequins, Gems
I cut two pieces of watercolour paper to size. Then stamp my Distress Oxide colours directly onto my glass mat. Then spray with water and drag the paper through the ink to create a unique and inky background.
Repeat this process until you have a background you are happy with. You can use a heat gun to dry the layers in between as with oxides you can layer the inks. Leave to dry completely.
Once dry begin stamping the diamonds across the background. I put 3 diamond stamps on my acrylic block but you can stamp individually. I stamped randomly trying to twist back and forth to create a background that’s not too regimented. I added in the little sparkle stamp to the gaps and stamped the greeting onto the other piece of card. I the stamped a diamond and filled this in with the solid stamp and blue / green oxides.
To finish I added a sprinkle of sequins across the background a few gems to some of the diamonds. I layered onto back card to give a contrast and adhered to the card blank. I love how the oxides mix to create other colours and am pleased with the end result. This is a great way to make your own backing papers to match your stamps!
