Today I bring you a commission for a New Home card. I was asked to make something a bit girly.I used a few dies to create this - the house is a Sizzix die and the lettering, hill and fence are by Lawn Fawn.

Flower Easel Card - Thursday Digi-Stamp Blog Project for LC Designs

Good Morning Everyone!

It's Sarah here with a new LC Designs Project. I have used the digi stamp Flower Head and had a play with changing the line colour of the digi stamp to create my own flower background paper and embellishments

Here is a list of materials and products I used for this project:

LC Designs Digi Stamp - Flowerhead
White Cardstock folded into an easel card.
Smooth white Card Stock - to print on
Pink Card Stock
Die - to cut greeting shape
Distress Ink - Picked Raspberry, Watercolour Brush
White Gel Pen, Gems
Foam pads and Glue
digi Flowerhead
I used Photoshop to change the colour and this is how I did it . . .
Layer the digi stamp from the background – by right clicking on the background tab (bottom right) and selecting Duplicate Layer. Delete the original background so that it’s just a white page and use the Magic Wand Tool to remove the white background on the duplicated layer so just the black lines remain.

Right click on the duplicated layer (tab saying Background copy) and select Blending Options, click on Color Overlay – you can click on the black box and this will bring up a colour pallet for you to choose a colour to change the lines.

I selected a bright cheerful pink. Once happy with the colour click ok and ok again. Your Flower Head stamp lines are now coloured.

Copy and paste the digi-stamp to create a random pattern on an A4 template – I then copied one and made the stamp a bit larger (in the end I printed the paper twice to have enough flowers to cut out for the project) I then Selected the Type Tool and wrote a favourite saying in the same colour as the flower. My design sheet looked like this – (ready to print - twice) …

To make the card I folded a blank to create an easel and used some plain pink papers to matt and layer with the flower papers. I used a shaped die to cut out the greeting and border. Then cut 3 flowers out for the feature. I used picked raspberry Distress Ink with a watercolour brush to give the flowers some colour, a white gel pen to highligh the centres and finished with some pink gem stones for extra detail.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look, hope you enjoyed the digi tutorial!

Mom and Me - Lawn Fawn Birthday Card

Hello Everybody!

Today I bring you a commissioned Birthday Card, which had to have owls and toads on it! I have used a couple of stamps and dies from the Lawn Fawn range mixed in with some word dies for the greeting.

I used Chipped Sapphire Distress ink for the edge of the card and added patterned paper hills. I coloured the various characters using Pro-Markers and finished with some sequins for some sparkle.
