Science Birthday Card using Digi My World - Science Rocks Digi Stamps

Good Morning!

Today I am sharing a card I made using Digi My World digi stamps, this set is called Science Rocks.

I printed out a colourful periodic table for the background and used different elements to create the word "brother". I  printed out the science man and coloured him with Promarkers and added glossy accents to his goggles.

Foamiran Flower using Faber-Castell Gelatos to Colour

Good Morning!

Today I am sharing my first attempt of creating a Foamiran flower since the workshop. I was just having a play with colouring and rolling petals, building on what I had learnt.

I cut out a bunch of small and large petals and used my Gelatos to colour with water and a brush to blend. My Daughter enjoyed helping to "paint" the petals. Then when she was a playschool I got the iron out and got to work.

I'm rather pleased with the end result and enjoyed this one. I even added some leaves. Just don't ask me which flower this is supposed to be!!! Lol.

Design Team Card using the Technically Awesome Stamps and Mask by For the Love of Stamps - We Click

Good Morning!

Today I am sharing a card I made a little while back using the Technically Awesome stamps and mask by For the Love of Stamps by Hunkydory!

For this card I wanted to create something a little less traditional in the computer themed sense (as I had before stuck with computer themed colours) I decided to make a fun card using the play on words "we click".

Products Used:

Technically Awesome Stamps and Mask

5” x 5” Card blank

Ink Me! Professional Stamping Card

Silver Mirri Card

Distress Oxides: Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet,

White Gel Pen, Gems

Tape and Foam Pads

This card is basically blending a background and then inking through the mask using purple and blue Oxides. I did the same with the computer mouse and fussy cut out for the greeting strip and layered with mirri card for a glam finish..

Spring Card using Gnome Ribbon - Bees by Crafty Ribbons

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Today I am sharing a spring related card for the Easter Share over on the Facebook Page for Crafty Ribbons. (I don't have many Easter projects finished yet!!!) I used the super cute Bee Ribbon from the Garden Gnome Collection.

I used some scrap spring coloured papers. The wreath die is Spellbinders, the bunny is an X-cut die and the bees are a Fiskars punch.

To finish my card I added glitter to the bees wings and bunny, and pearls to the flower centres.

Three Distress Ink Cards made with the 3 Owls Die by Robert Addams

Good Morning!

Today I am sharing a few cards I made using the cute 3 Owls die by Robert Addams. I love owls and this die is so sweet. I made three different versions using different inky backgrounds and colours just to see how they looked.

I made a star Distress Ink backgound and used black for the die, leaving negative space on the owls and I finished with a few sequins and a sentiment die cut (by X-cut).

I made a galaxy background with Distress Ink next and used black for the die lines and a rusty red for the inside space. I added detail to the body of the owls using a white gel pen.

Finally I made another star Distress Ink backgound and used the rusty red colour as an opposite version to the first card I made. All slightly different but I do like all versions as I think the colours work well.
I now need to find more time as I have a lot of Robert Addams's wonderful dies and haven't had a chance to use them yet!

Creative Craft Academy Workshop making Foamiran Flowers with Anna from Craft Box

Good Morning!

Last month, as a birthday treat, I booked myself onto a Foamiran Flower Workshop which is run by the Creative Craft Academy with the lovely Anna from Craft Box. It's based at St. Ives (Cambs) which is about 45mins away so fairly local-ish. There are also online tutorials for those who want to try but live too far away.

I had a lovely time and really enjoyed making the flowers, learning colouring and shaping techniques. This was on my crafty wish list of things to try and I'm so glad I did.

We made three flowers in total and got a lovely kit to take home (although everybody added a basket of things as well lol!) My only trouble is finding time to have a play as you use an iron to heat the foam and my little girl always wants to help. I will be sharing more flowers as and when I get the chance.

Crafty Ribbons Design Team Scrapbook Layout using Vintage Rose Ribbon and 3mm Satin Ribbon

Good Morning Everyone!

Today I'm sharing a scrapbook page I have made for my Crafty Ribbons Design Team Project. I have created this page with photos of my daughter from a fairy themed birthday shoot. For this I used, the beautiful Vintage Rose Ribbon in Beige/Blue and the 3mm Satin Ribbon in Copen, as I thought the complimented the colour scheme from the photos perfectly.

I wanted to bring out the flowers from the photos with the papers and ribbon and keep the colour theme of natural colours with blues. The papers are from B and M and come as a 12" x 12" pads.

The words are a Lawn Fawn die, the flowers are a Stampin' Up! punch and I used Chipped Saphire Distress Ink for the edges.

I added a satin ribbon bow and used the ribbon tails to make the flowers a bit like rosettes, finishing with large pearls from The Works. I love how this one turned out and will definitely try and do more scrapbooking with ribbon.
