Football Crazy Birthday Card using For the Love of Stamps Set

Good Morning!

Just a quick message before my post that the For the Love of Stamps February Launch is on Saturday at 9am and 4pm on Create and Craft with the lovely Pauline Wheeler demonstrating. There are some fun and cute stamps launching so keep and eye out for them!

Today I am sharing a card I made for my Hubby's Birthday using the Football Crazy by For the Love of Stamps

I used a grass colour Matt-tastic for the background and stamped the net all over, using fineliner pen to fill in the gaps. I stamped the other elements into white Ink Me Card and used white embossing for the details. The painted with my Distress Oxide, Candied Apple and added a few die cut elements to finish. I am happy with how this one turned out and its great you can make the football elements the colours to suit which ever football team!

Blooming Fabulous Guest Design Team Card for Imagine Design Create using Doddled Flowers Stamps

Hello Everyone!

Today I am sharing an inky card I have created using the beautiful Doodled Flowers Stamp Set, Circles and Squares Stencil by Imagine Design Create with Distress Inks and Oxides.

You can view the original blog post here!

For this card I have also used:

6” x 6” Scalloped Card Blank

White Heavy Weight Card

Black Card

Blending Tool, Water filled brush

Distress Oxides: Broken China, Wilted Violet, Twisted Citron

Black Fine liner Pen, Masking Tape, Double Sided Tape

I started by masking the stencil to one corner of the card square and inking through with the purple ink along the card edges, gradually blending with the blues toward the centre of the card.

I then moved the stencil to the next corner lining up so the circles follow on and continue with the blending until the whole background is covered in circles.

I then take the purple ink around the edges blending softly toward the middle and lay out the flower, leaves and sentiment stamps I plan to use. I stamp the flowers and leaves down through the middle, stamp the sentiment in the corner and hand draw the black border.

I stamp the Oxide ink onto my acrylic block and use a water filled brush to pick up the ink and colour the stamped images. I love Oxides as lay on top of other inks and are really bold.

To finish I matt the card onto black card and adhere to a scalloped card blank.

I love playing around with ink and don’t always have a plan for the finished card. Sometimes I have clear ideas and then other times I see where the ink takes me, I love experimenting and am pleased with this finished card!

Princess Birthday Card using Crafty Ribbons Bling Velvet Ribbon - Design Team

Good Morning Everyone!

Today I am sharing a 2nd Birthday Princess Card I made which I'm also using as my Crafty Ribbons Design Team inspiration!  I wanted to add some sparkle and when I saw this ribbon I knew it would be perfect :) I have used the Bling Velvet Ribbon in Irrediscent from the Bling Velvet Collection!

I am not sure my photos do this ribbon justice as it is really sparkly and pretty!

The topper collection I have used for my card is the Perfect Princess Luxury Topper Collection by Hunkydory.

I made the card for the kit, adding in a small ribbon loop to the side and a ribbon bow to the top corner to finish.

More Distress Oxide Inky Cards using For the Love of Stamps Floribunda and Dainty Daisy Stamps

Good Morning and Welcome back!

Today I am sharing a Birthday card I made for a work colleague using the Floribunda and Birthday Wishes stamps and a thank you card using the Dainty Daisies stamp set by For the Love of Stamps by Hunkydory and Distress Oxides.

For my first card I made an inky background using the Distress Oxides in Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet and Antiique Linen. Ink up the glass mat and spray with water - dragging the card through to pick up the colour! I then stamped the flowers in Versamark and used black embossing powder to create this card. To finish I matted onto black card and added a few tiny pearls. I have noted that the PVA glue with the pearls dries darker underneath as it reacts to the Oxides. So less glue is prob best!

For my second card (which is similar to one I made last year) I made the inky background using the Distress Oxides in Broken China and Spiced Marmalade. I then stamped the flowers in Versamark and used white embossing powder to create this card. To finish I made and orange border with the Distress Ink and added a few tiny pearls.

Hello Everyone!

Today I have another of my Design Team Cards to share from the beautiful Hunkydory Birth Flowers range. My card has been made with the lovely stamps by For the Love of Stamps.

For this card I have used the Daffodil stamp which is the Rose flower and wanted to create some different textures for this card, so I distressed the edges of the card and used one of the background papers that looked textured.

Products Used:

Birth Flowers Stamps

5” x 5” Card Blank, Matt-tastic Card

Ink Me! Professional Stamping Card

Masking Sheet punched out as 1” circle

Versafine Ink– Onyx Black

Distress Inks; Broken China, Mermaid Lagoon, Wilted Violet

Distress Oxides; Fossilized Amber, Lucky Clover, Waterbrush

Black Fineliner, Glitter Glue

Tape and Foam Pads

I created a Distress Oxide background and stamped onto this using the Oxide ink to stamp the rose wording to make the backgound. I stamped the rose in versafine ink and used a waterbrush with the oxide ink to colour. I added pen lines, a hand cut banner and gems to finish.

Imagine Design Create Guest Design Team Card - Dream Big - Using Star Mix stamp set

Hello Everyone!

Today I am sharing a single layer card I have created using the funky Star Mix, Reach for the Stars Stamp Sets by Imagine Design Create and Distress Oxide Inks. I love the ombre look and thought the star stamps would be fab as an ombre background!

The original post can be found here!

I have used:

6” x 6” card blank

White and black Cardstock

Distress Oxide Ink: Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade and Fossilised Amber

Versafine Ink: Onyx Black

Double Sided Tape

This is such a simple card. I began by stamping the orange stars down the middle of the white square. I then cleaned the stamp and used the yellow ink to the right of the orange stars, lining up where the stars indent to create the background.

I then repeated this process on the other side using the red ink to create the really cool background. To finish I stamped the sentiment and the hanging stars in black and layered onto black card.

Such a simple but fun card, the ombre colour combos are endless and if you batch make the backgrounds these are ready to hand for when you need them!
