Good Morning and Happy Weekend!
Here is another Design Team card from the June collection of stamps by For the Love of Stamps by Hunkydory using the Retro Mix Tape stamps and mask. For this card I was thinking about funky shellsuits (I never had one but my cousin did), Top of the Pops and buying my first album on tape! Lol.

I tried several ways of using the stencil onto the black card. For me to get a clear pattern I found drawing through the stencil with a white gel pen and then colouring over with the Sakura pens worked best. (Acrylic paint smudged, Sakura pens straight wasn't bright enough. Sponging through with white ink didn't take.) I then flicked white acrylic paint with a paintbrush to create texture. I stamped, coloured and fussy cut the tape and buttons and added the greeting to a punched shape to finish.
This card made it onto the TV!!! Super exciting!

Love this card. I so remember this song and of course they played it 24 hours on one of our radio stations New Year's eve in 1998 and then 1999 when some people were worried at Y2K.
