DT card using For the Love of Stamps June collection - You're Fabulous

Good Morning and Happy Sunday!

Next Sunday (6th Aug) is the launch for the next collection of For the Love of Stamps by Hunkydory. It will be super exciting as it is a Christmas collection and the stamps are amazing! I can't wait to show my samples with you next week. So today I am sharing a card I made using the You're Fabulous set.

Products Used:

You’re Fabulous! Stamp Set

Card blank

Adorable Scorable - Matt-tastic

Colour Me! Stamping Card

Spellbinders Nestabilies labels 16 die

Versafine Onyx Black Ink Pad

Stampin’ Up! Inks: Melon Mambo, Regal Rose

Promarkers: Ice Grey 3, Black

Tape and Foam Pads

I kept this one simple by stamping alternatively with the nail varnish pots and make-up swipes to create my background. I then die cut out a single varnish and cut a sentiment as a banner. Super cute and girly :)

Thanks for looking and don't forget to tune in next Sunday to Create and Craft!

Little Claire Designs Hedgie Hoggie Hugs DT Card with Kraft Tag Card

Good Morning and Happy Saturday!

Today I am sharing a DT card I made using the Little Claire Designs new stamp set Hedgie Hoggie Hugs for Christmas. For this card I also used a Kraft Tag Card. I love these cute Hedgehogs and had a play with heat embossing and Distress Oxides.

For this card I stamped onto kraft card with clear Versamark and used a white embossing powder to create the outlines. Then I used my Distress Oxide ink as a watercolour to paint the image. I used some Little Claire paper for the background - Citrus Collection and scissors to cut a banner for the sentiment. I added irridescent Christmas ribbon to the tag to finish.

Retro Mix Tape DT Card using For the Love of Stamps June collection - 90s Hits

Good Morning and Happy Weekend!

Here is another Design Team card from the June collection of stamps by For the Love of Stamps by Hunkydory using the Retro Mix Tape stamps and mask. For this card I was thinking about funky shellsuits (I never had one but my cousin did), Top of the Pops and buying my first album on tape! Lol.

Products Used:

Retro Mix Tape Stamp Set and mask
Card blank,
Superior Stamping Card - Midnight Black
Colour Me! Stamping Card
White Gel Pen, Sakura Stardust gel pen set – Bright
White Acrylic Paint and Paintbrush (to flick on white specks)
Versafine Onyx Black Ink Pad
Promarkers: Black, Cool Grey 4 & 5, Cardinal Red, Red
1 ¾” x 7/8” Oval Punch (Stampin’ Up!)
Tape and Foam Pads

I tried several ways of using the stencil onto the black card. For me to get a clear pattern I found drawing through the stencil with a white gel pen and then colouring over with the Sakura pens worked best. (Acrylic paint smudged, Sakura pens straight wasn't bright enough. Sponging through with white ink didn't take.) I then flicked white acrylic paint with a paintbrush to create texture. I stamped, coloured and fussy cut the tape and buttons and added the greeting to a punched shape to finish.

This card made it onto the TV!!! Super exciting!

Bee Happy Card using Hunkydory Craft Stack and Gold Mirri

Good Morning!

Today I am sharing a card made with some elements from the Bee Happy Craft Stack by Hunkydory. My daughter loves "bee" and will point them out if we see any on our walks or in the garden. This craft stack is stunning and the bee illustrations are so sweet.

I kept this card simple and on a white rectangle I used Broken China Distress Ink around the edges and added white gel dots to match the background to the topper. I then die cut some Gold Mirri card flowers and leaves using Sweet Dixie Dies. To finish I used Gold Mirri for the borders and added some clear sequins.

A Cute Lama Card using Making Cards Magazine Papers with a surprise!

Good Morning Everybody!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the Free Lama Craft Paper Collection from an old issue of Making Cards Magazine. I fell in love with these cute on trend papers a lot of fussy cutting helped to create this card . . .

I nipped into the kitchen to get my 2 year old daughter a drink. She comes running in and says "Mum! Look!" How could I be cross at her drawing inside the card when these amazing faces looked so surprised? :D

So I am keeping this very special card in my collection!

Hedgie Hoggie Hugs Little Claire Designs DT Card

Good morning to you all!

Today I am sharing a DT card I made using the Little Claire Designs new stamp set Hedgie Hoggie Hugs for Christmas. For this card I also used a white Elegant Rectangle card blank. How cute are these Hedgehogs decorating a step ladder!!!

I used Distress Ink in Candied Apple and Lucky Clover for the background with a star stencil from Stampin' Up! I used the Distress Inks as watercolours to colour parts of the stamped image and Promarkers for the other parts. To finish I added Card Candi dots and a little glitter to make the baubles stand out.

You're Fabulous DT card using For the Love of Stamps June collection stamps

Happy Sunday!

Today I am sharing a Design Team card from the June collection of stamps by For the Love of Stamps by Hunkydory. My inspiration for this card came from the mask and is styled to recreate a vanity mirror and make-up table.
I used the lovely You're Fabulous Stamps and matching mask.

Products Used:

You’re Fabulous! Stamp Set and mask
Card blank,
Stamping Mirri Mats - Circles
Adorable Scorable - Matt-tastic Selection
Perfect Backgrounds Stamping Pad – Pretty Pastel
Stickles - Bronze
Versafine Onyx Black Ink Pad
Promarkers: Baby Pink, Ice Grey 1, 2 & 3, Oatmeal, Vanilla, Tan, Cocoa, Ruby, Cerise
Tape and Foam Pads

I traced around the mask and coloured the mirror in with the Baby Pink Promarker. I made the table from a rectangle and sketched in my own mirror legs. The mirri mat made a perfect mirror and I stamped and fussy cut out all the makeup elements to make this card. To finish I added glitter to the mirror to create shining lights.

Birthday Candle Card using Big and Bold Wish by Uniko

Good Morning!

Today I am sharing a clean and simple (CAS) card I have created using my beautiful stamps from the fab UK company Uniko. This stamp set is called Wish and is from the Big and Bold collection.

I kept this card simple (I know not my usual style but I wanted to make the beautiful stamps the feature) by having a limited colour palette and a lot of white background. The stamps are fab and I cleanly stamped the wording straight onto the card blank. I stamped the candles on a separate rectangle, having a play with the flame, then layered onto a green rectangle to finish. Next time will have a go at using lots of ink with these stamps ;)
