My Snowy Decorated Mixed Media Project Advent Calendar from Craft Box

Good Morning Everyone!

Today I am sharing something a little bit different. I was lucky to get hold of a limited edition advent calendar from Craft Box. It came flat packed and with a box of 24 individually wrapped goodies to put into each draw for December! After much thought I decided to go with a purple and blue snowy theme with lots of glittery snow!

I painted everything purple, then used a crackle patterend roller with white acrylic to create the snow. Then I used blue and bluey green liquid inks to colour the bottom left corners of the draws and added glitter glue over top.

I did the same with the numbers and die cut some white snowflakes and used white sequins to finish decorating the draws.

My three year old daughter did help and really enjoyed painting with Mummy. She also enjoyed putting the little bags and parcels into the draws ready for tomorrow! Can't wait to see what each day brings :)

Christening Cards using Spellbinders Decorative Labels Thirty-Four Die and Xcut Mini Cross Die

Good Morning and Welcome back!

Today I am sharing another two cards I made for a Christening. For these ones I used the Nestabilities Decorative Labels Thirty-Four dies by Spellbinders. I also used an elegant Xcut Cross mini die by Docrafts and some flower punches by Stampin' Up!

I kept these cards simple, printing out the wording and die cutting the frame, then adding the various punched and die cut elements to a simple pink backdround. To finish I added some ribbon, buttons and pearl.

Black and Gold Christmas Cards using Paper Crafter Magazine prize dies by Crafter's Companion

Good Morning to You All!

Today I am sharing a couple of cards I made using my lovely Star Letter Prize from Paper Crafter Magazine which was a whole bunch of dies by Crafter's Companion. I decided to try a new colour scheme as I love cards make from black and gold. Think they worked really well!

For these cards I used the Die'sire Mixed Media Christmas - Vintage Bauble Base and Die'sire Classiques Christmas - Winter Wonderland Die Set
and a snowflake embossing folder from my crafty stash.

The Gold Mirri Card is from Hunkydory and embossed beautifully and I think these are some classy looking Christrmas cards! Thank you so much Paper Crafter Magazine for my prize :)

Christmas Nesting Star Guest Design Team Card for Imagine Design Create

Hello Everyone

Today I am sharing a quick card I made using the Nesting Stars Stamp Set and the Circles and Squares stencil using Imagine Design Create Stamps and Mask.
The Original Post can be found Here!
I used some Christmas paper from my stash for the background and had a play with using the circles from the mask over the stamped stars.

I have also used:
8” x 8” Card Blank
Christmas Paper from my stash, White Card
Star Punches
Sequins
Blending tool
Double Sided Tape, Foam Pads, PVA glue

I kept this card simple by stamping the nesting stars, cutting them out and inking round the edges. Then I placed the stencil overtop and added the circle pattern. These would also look great as hanging stars either on the card or tree decorations!

Snowman Christmas Card using Snowy Snow Globe stamps by For the Love of Stamps

Good Morning and Welcome back!

Today I am sharing a card I made using the super cute snowmen from the stamp set Snowy Snow Globe by For the Love of Stamps by Hunkydory

I made the inky background using Distress Inks in Wilted Violet, Peacock Feathers and Broken China. I die cut a heart shape out of acetate to make my own mask and inked through to create the heart background. The border is a seperate card square inked in the same manner.I used a watercolour pen to colour the snowmen and added snowflakes from another FTLOS set with a fine liner to make them look like they are hanging. To finish I added some squines and stamped the sentiments on leftcover inked card.

1st Birthday Card using Making Cards Free Papers and Lawn Fawn Critters from the Past

Hi Everyone!

Today I am sharing a card I made using some lovely Free Papers from Making Cards Magazine - these papers are from a previous issue and I knew they would be perfect for a Dinosaur mad 1 year old! I teamed these papers up with the Lawn Fawn stamp set Critters from the Past.

I kept this simple and used Promarkers to colour the Critters in colours similar to the papers and die cut the name and age to finish. I was delighted this card is featured in the latest Making Cards Magazine (Nov 2017) in the Social Scene pages.

Poinsettia and Lace Design Team Card For Crafty Ribbons

Good Morning!

Today I am sharing a Poinsettia Christmas Card that uses the lovely Lace Ribbon: Amour Cotton Lace - Love from Crafty Ribbons. I think this is perfect for the finishing touches for my special Christmas Cards as it is red and has a sparkle thread running through it!

I made the inky background using the Distress Oxides in Lucky Clover and Candied Apple. I then stamped the Warming Words sentiment in the corner and the Pretty Poinsettia stamp by For the Love of Stamps onto another inky background and fussy cut out. To finish I used the lovely lace ribbon, some gold mirri card and added a few sequins.

Imagine Design Create Guest Design Team Zentangle Card

Hi Everyone
Today I am sharing another card I made with the cute Birthday Balloons Stencil. I have seen some cards make with inking through the mask and then drawing over the design in the style of zentangle. I confess this is my first attempt and enjoyed the process of having a relaxing doodle!
View the original Post Here!

I have also used:
6” x 6” card blank
White Cardstock: 300 gsm
Distress Oxides: Spiced Marmalade, water spray bottle
Blending tool, Black Fine Liner
Black sequins

To start I inked through the stencil to create an initial surface to work on, then went around the edges with the black fine liner pen.

I just began mark making with my fine liner pen, having a quick look on google for pattern ideas.

Once my design was complete I inked the edges and sprayed the design with water using a tissue to blot to give the card a softer look. To finish I added a few black sequins.
This was fun to create and makes an original card. Different colours and patterns can be used to make this a really personal card. Let your imagination run riot!

Dinkie Silhouette House Design Team Card for Little Claire Designs

Good Morning and Happy Sunday!

Sorry I've been a bit AWOL the last week. I've been getting stuff ready for the upcoming craft fairs this month! I won't be posting everyday as I have been but will try and share as much as I can with you all.

Today I am sharing a small simple Design Team card I made for Little Claire Designs using the Dinkie Silhouette House stamp.

I used some scrap green vellum for the background and die cut a fancy border to go around the stamped image. I stamped this onto the ombre paper from Little Claire Designs and added a greeting to finish.

Imagine Design Create Guest Design Team Shaker Card using Birthday Balloons Stencil

Hello Everyone

Today I am sharing a card I made with the cute Birthday Balloons Stencil. I had an idea to create a shaker card in rich gold and purple colours for a special birthday.

View the original post can be found here!

I have also used:
6” x 6” Card Blank
Gold Mirror Card
Purple Paper from my scrap stash
Happy word die, Stitched Square Die
Acetate, Double Sided Tape, Foam Pads, PVA glue
Blending tool
Sequins, Gold thread
To start cut all my card and papers down to size, die cut the elements and traced round the Birthday Balloon single Balloon Stencil on the off cut purple paper.

I then put a square of acetate to the gold frame, added foam pads to the back and piled up my sequins ready to make the shaker window element.

Once I was happy I put the shaper window in place and then cut out the traced balloons.

I then inked the edges to the balloons and half of the die cut happy word using a blending tool with the Distress Ink. I added a gold thread round the balloon bases and used foam pads to attach these to the winder shaker window. To finish I used PVA glue to stick the happy word to the card and hold the thread in place.

Hope you enjoyed the tutorial, shaker cards are fun to make and special to receive!
