A Review for Hunkydory using the Stepping into Christmas Deco-Large - Cards made using Santa's Express Deco-large

Good Morning Everyone!

Today I am sharing my next review using Hunkydory products that I have been given to work with. As you know I love stamping and I don't often use kits that have papers and toppers. I was allowed to select what I wished to work with and my next selection came from the Stepping into Christmas Deco-Large Collection.

I have a friend who is mad about locomotives so I chose the Santa's Express Deco-Large pack to work with. This retails at £1.99 and is part of the any 5 Deco-Large for the price of 4. There is also two multi-buy offers available as well.

I managed to make three cards with this set. I personally don't layer much - which is the idea of the Deco-Large, so I layered a bit and was very happy with my finished cards.

I used a red and grey sheet from my pack of Adorable Scorable 100 Sheet Christmas Special Edition which is £19.99. The Adorable Scorable is 350gsm as is the cardstock in the Deco-Large and the toppers are 300gsm with beautiful gold foil detail. Again I loved how the toppers are die cut so you just pop them out, which makes them super easy, quick to work with and professional looking. I hate having to sit and fussy cut shapes when time is so precious.

The only other items I used from my stash were card blanks, baker's twine, foam pads and a little gold mirri card.

I loved how easy these cards were to make, layering on different backgrounds to make some professional looking cards. If I had stamped and coloured these it would have taken me so long to make. I know the friend I intend one of these cards to go to will be thrilled at all the amazing detail and layers. These Deco-Large images work well on an A5 card blank and are definitely value for money! I certainly will be using these Deco-Large sets again :)

Thanks for stopping by - and hopefully very soon I will be sharing more reviews of the kits I have received!

Hugs,

Sarah x

A Review for Hunkydory using the Christmas in Style - A Magical Christmas Luxury Topper Set to make Christmas Unicorn Cards

Good Morning Everyone!

I know it has been a while but family life is keeping me busy with my baby now being 4 months old and my daughter off for the summer.

So what have I been up to? Recently I have been asked to review some Hunkydory products. As you know I love stamping and I don't often use kits that have papers and toppers. I was allowed to select what I wished to work with and decided on the stunning Christmas collection. The first product I selected is from the Christmas in Style Collection and is called - A Magical Christmas Luxury Topper Set which is £2.99 to buy or any 5 toppers for the price of 4.

I decided on this set because my daughter is obsessed with unicorns and pink. I wanted to see how many cards I could make with this one set. I also received a pack of Adorable Scorable 100 Sheet Christmas Special Edition.

The Adorable Scorable is 350gsm as is the cardstock in the kit and the toppers are 300gsm with beautiful gold foil detail. I love how the toppers are die cut so you just pop them out, which makes them super easy, quick to work with and professional looking. There is nothing worse than having to sit and fussy cut shapes.

So to make the kit go further I used the Adorable Scorable, Gold Mirri Card and some pre-made card blanks. I started by getting out my trusted Adorable Scoreboard and Handbook to create the Centre Stepper Card following the easy instructions. I don't often make fancy shaped cards but had a lot of fun creating this one.

Then I used some light pink Adorable Scorable Card - I was really impressed that the colours from the pack actually tied in with the toppers so the overall cards look perfectly co-ordinated. Then pack is not just the traditional Christmas colours which is perfect and well thought out.

With the backing card that was left I divided up between three more cards and used the various topper elements to create five cards in total.

There is also a few card bits and toppers left to create some smaller things like maybe bookmarks or gift tags. I ran out of playtime as the baby is possibly teething and needed lots of cuddles!

The cute pink card was my Daughter's favourite and she was very impressed with how pretty all the cards turned out.

I personally was impressed with the beautiful quality of the topper kit and the stunning illustrations and colour choice. I loved how quick and easy the kit was to use, especially as I don't always get much time to play now. I had a lot of fun creating these cards and just playing around. The price point is great because I made five cards which would easily sell for at least £2-£3 each, which means the kit is great value for money. However I have a feeling I will be sending all these cards to my Daughter -  lol  :D

Thanks for stopping by - and hopefully very soon I will be sharing more reviews of the kits I have recieved!

Hugs,
