My Favourite Five LC Designs Cards of 2015 - Sarah

Good Morning
Sarah here with my selection of my five fave cards from 2015. I had a hard time choosing and wanted to include all the Christmas cards lol! I'm just about ready for the big day - few more to wrap but almost done :)

As you know I am on the Digi-Stamp Team and just love this way of creating - I hadn't really worked with Digi-Stamps as much as physical stamping but have become addicted with how you can easily change and print the Digi-Stamp with perfect results every time.

I have chosen the Chrsitmas Scottie with Snowman card - I really enjoyed making this one, playing with Distress Ink, torn paper and lovely Dies.

This card was difficult for me as I love colours and the theme was Mono - was pleased with the clean and simple results of this design and the Silhouette Meadow Girl Digi-Stamp is very stunning.

This Dalmatian in Flowers Digi-Stamp is the design I based my daughter's 1st Birthday Card on, she loves "doggie woggies" and I have put this in her keepsake box for when she is older.

This is one I designed for my Mum - the Silhouette Mother Daughter Digi-Stamp is a "one picture says a thousand words" - perfect for what I wanted to express and I had such fun creating the spiral flowers.

My last choice is not a card but the super cute bags I made using elements from the We Six Cats Digi-Stamp. Perfect for stocking fillers or tree decorations ready for the festive season.

So that is my selection! I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Crafty New Year xx

Little Claire's DT Digi-Stamp Challenge # 12 - Fave Christmas Stamp - Christmas Scottie with Snowman Card

Good Morning Everyone!

For the Little Claire's DT Digi-Stamp Challenge # 12 - Fave Christmas Stamp, I have used the Digi Stamp - Christmas Scottie with Snowman.

I printed the Digi-Stamp and cut down to a rectangle. Selected some snowy papers and die cut some Spellbinder snowflakes and a greeting. Using Peacock Feathers Distress ink I coloured the edge of the printed image and the snowflakes. To add some shimmer I used my Wink of Stella pen on the snowflakes, the heart ornaments and dotted this on the background of the digi-stamp for a glittery snow feel. Finally adding some gems to the snowflakes to finish.

We 6 Cats - Gift Bag Stocking Filler - Thursday Digi-Stamp Blog Project for Little Claire

Good Morning Everyone!

It's Sarah here with a new Digi-Stamp Project. I have used parts from the Digi-Stamp - We 6 Cats.

This is a very cute stamp and continuing my theme of dissecting the digi-stamp I have made these fun stocking filler gift bags - which could also be put on the tree!

I filled these with Lindt Lindor chocolates :)

Here is a list of materials and products I used for this project:

Smooth white Card Stock - to print on
Blue, Red and shiney Green Card Stock
Lawn Fawn Die - Goodie Bag
Large hole punch
Acetate
Ribbon and Twine
Scissors
Glue and Foam Pads

Firstly I cropped 3 of the Digi-Stamp cats (separately) in Photoshop Elements and erased the lines so I had 3 single cats. (Previous tutorial explaining this - here).

My tutorial this time is to show how you can colour the Digi-stamp on the computer, so when you print it - you are ready to start creating. This is good if you have lots of the same thing to make and no time to colour each image individually.

Select the paint bucket tool on the left (as picture above) and select the colour you want to use by clicking on the colour square and selecting a colour from the pallet (as picture below). Then click on the part of the digi-stamp you wish to colour and this will fill the whole area in - example above shows the Christmas hats in red.

Carry on doing this with various colours until the whole stamp is coloured in the way you want. This is also handy for trying out colour combinations, if it doesn't work you can just change the colour - rather than have to start your whole project again if colouring by hand. I settled on the colours below.

To make the gift bag I used the Lawn Fawn Goodie Bag die, which you need to cut out twice to make one complete bag. I cut out two in each of the colours - red, green and blue. I then punched out three circles, on one of the die cut card, in each colour. I then cut some acetate big enough to cover the circle and adhered this to the inside of the die cut to make a window.

Then I used a bone folder to fold along the score lines and glued the tabs with wet glue to assemble. Using wet glue allows me to get the tabs in the correct place as wet blue allows some movement. I made each half first and then glued these two together.
To finish I die cut some snowflakes and hand cut the cats out. I attached the cats with foam pads to the bag and glued the snowflakes on, adding clear gems to the centre of the snowflakes for a sparkly finish.

I finally filled the bags with the chocolates and then tied the top with ribbon and twine.

To finish the baubles I added a little poem about the wish and a small metal charm to the loop and tied a beautiful ribbon around the top. These are a limited edition so please let me know if you would like to order any!

Don't forget to come back on Thursday to see my latest project for the Little Claire blog :)

Little Claire's DT Digi-Stamp Challenge # 11 - Anything but a card! - Poinsettia Pillow Box

Good Morning Everyone!

For the Little Claire's DT Digi-Stamp Challenge # 11 - Anything but a card!, I have used the Digi Stamp - Poinsettia. I resized in photoshop and printed out using black ink.

I coloured the poinsettias using Pro-markers and hand cut around the edges leaving a white gap around the stamp. Then using a Sizzix die cut the Pillow Box and wrapped some Christmas colour ribbon and twine round. Attached the digi-stamp using foam pads to create dimension. Might go back later and add some glitter to make it sparkle.

Snowman Kisses - Thursday Digi-Stamp Blog Project for Little Claire

Good Morning Everyone!

It's Sarah here with a new Digi-Stamp Project. I have used part of the Digi-Stamp - Christmas Scottie with Snowman.

I love this stamp and knew the Snowman would be perfect for the project I wanted to share with you all - Snowman Kisses.

A cute way to package some Tic Tacs as little stocking fillers.

Here is a list of materials and products I used for this card:

Smooth white Card Stock - to print on
Blue Card Stock
Ribbon
Paper Trimmer
Corner Rounding Punch
1" Circle punch or 1" Circle Die and Die cutting Machine
Glue, Cellotape and Glue Dots

Firstly I cropped the Digi-Image in Photoshop Elements (program was free with laptop) The screenshots below show how I did this ...

I cropped and resized the Digi-stamp to fit a 1 3/4”x 2 ¾” box I had created.
Once I copied and pasted lots of snowmen - I used the paint bucket tool to colour in the images. I also put the poem (see end of post) into a box and pasted it a few times ready to cut out once printed.

Cut a piece of blue card stock 4 1/2" x 3"
Score each of these piece 2" from the left edge, and 2" from the right edge (you will have a 1/2" spine in the center of each piece of paper). Round the edges of the blue card and the right side of the digi-stamp once it's been cropped to size.

Cut a piece of coordinating ribbon about 14" long and tape it down to the front of the blue card stock. I left the ribbon loose at the back so it ties easily - and glue down the snowman panel over the taped ribbon.

Punch out the snowman's belly with a 1" circle punch. (Or if like me you couldn't find a punch you can die cut the circle using a die cutting machine!)

Then crop and glue the poem to the inside panel of the packaging and using glue dots pop the Tic Tacs in place.

Then tie the ribbon in a bow to complete the project.

Here is the poem for inside the Tic Tac box ...

Good Morning!

I stamped the background with a wood style stamp and then layered my wreath with the little Gingerbread Men from the stamp set Sweet Christmas (stamped on Kraft card and using a white gel pen for details) and Merry Christmas border die from Sprinkle Twinkle. I cut the greeting in half to fit it across the wreath and finished by adding a paper bow and some Card Candi baubles.
